Ferguson jealous of Europe's elite clubs
Sir Alex Ferguson has told those with Manchester United tickets that he is envious of some of the great clubs in European football.
The United boss revealed that he wants his club to be part of an elite group of clubs who have won the Champions League four times or more.
Man Utd, who have won Europe's premier competition on three occasions, play Shalke in the semi-finals tonight (April 26th).
"My expectation has always been high in regards to the European scene, but we do get envious of the records of other clubs in Europe," said the Scot.
"We look at other teams' records and we are trying to get parity with that. We look at clubs like Real Madrid, Milan, Ajax, Bayern Munich and Liverpool and we really need to progress quickly to get to that level."
Meanwhile, Manchester United's next league game comes away to Arsenal this Sunday, May 1st.
