Free Isle of Wight Festival app launched

Vodafone has launched a smartphone application designed to help people with Isle of Wight Festival tickets plan their weekend.

The free app provides content include listings of all scheduled performance times, venue details and artist profiles to enhance the overall festival experience.

Users can build personal timetables to make sure they don't miss gigs by the likes of Kaiser Chiefs, Seasick Steve, Pulp, Plan B and the Script.

The app also features a tool allowing festival visitors to share their location or set meeting points, meaning they shouldn't have to worry about getting separated from their friends.

Access to Facebook and Twitter will also allow users to share information about their experiences, view photo galleries and access weather forecasts and other useful resources.

The application is available to download now for iPhone and Android devices.

Set to take place at Seaclose Park in Newport from June 10th to 12th, the 2011 Isle of Wight Festival will feature headline sets from Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters and Kasabian, as well as performances by the likes of Alexandra Burke, Manic Street Preachers and Tom Jones in the Big Top.
