Gary Barlow doing an 'extraordinary' job on X Factor
As well as entertaining fans during the ongoing Take That tour, Gary Barlow has joined the judging panel for this year's series of The X Factor and is turning out to be a significant presence on the show, host Dermot O'Leary has revealed.
Speaking to Christian O'Connell's morning programme on Absolute Radio, O'Leary described Barlow as "extraordinary".
He gave an example to show that the singer is not holding back with his views on some of the X Factor hopefuls.
"There was one line where we couldn't believe he said it, where a woman came on and she finished singing and she wasn't even that bad and Gary says, 'I've just got one question to ask. Have you always been a woman?' It was genius," O'Leary said.
The host has also been impressed with N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos, another new addition to the judging panel.
Fans with Take That tickets will be able to see Barlow and the rest of the group playing a series of eight shows at the O2 Arena over the next ten days.
