George Michael tour: 'I won't apologise for sexuality', says singer
With a George Michael tour of the UK due to get underway this October, the singer has spoken out about his sexuality.
The openly gay star has responded via Twitter to what he claims is "homophobic" reporting in the press.
It comes after Michael made comments at a recent press conference in which he said he feels the numerous scandals surrounding his private life may have impacted negatively on the gay community.
He then returned to the subject on Twitter, claiming that the widely reported comments had been twisted by the media.
"Hey everyone....something important to say...... WHAT THE F**K!!!!!!! This is why I love twitter! MEDIA PAY ATTENTION! I HAVE NEVER AND WILL NEVER APOLOGISE FOR MY SEX LIFE!" he wrote.
"I apologised for my driving accidents and the homophobic language that they induced in a HOMOPHOBIC PRESS (sic)!" he added.
Meanwhile, George Michael tickets go on sale this morning (May 20th) for the singer's upcoming UK tour, which starts at the Royal Albert Hall on October 25th.
