Girls Aloud reveal reunion tour for 2013
Girls Aloud have announced they will reunite for a comeback tour to celebrate their tenth anniversary as a band.
The group are due to release their greatest hits album - Ten - on November 26th, before embarking on a 12-date stint around the UK and Ireland in early 2013.
Kicking off at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on February 21st, the Girls Aloud tour will travel to major venues in cities including Manchester, London, Birmingham, Belfast and Glasgow, before a final show at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on March 20th.
Cheryl Cole said the band are "really excited. It feels like nothing has changed", while fellow member Nicola Roberts added that "it's worked out really nicely that it's our 10th anniversary year. It was meant to be".
The last performance from the five-piece was in September 2009, when they supported Coldplay at Wembley Stadium.
Since the release of their first single Sound of the Underground in 2002, the girls have claimed five top-ten albums, a Brit award and a Guinness World Record for being the most successful reality TV show band.
Girls Aloud tickets will go on sale from Wednesday (October 24th).
