Grammy nomination for Paramore
Paramore have been nominated in the Best Song Written for a Motion Picture category for next year's Grammies.
The band made the shortlist for their song Decode which featured on the soundtrack for the film Twilight.
Paramore's lead singer Hayley Williams was excited to have received the nomination. "AHHHHHH!!!! I just woke up to a Grammy nomination!!!! Thank you... whoever you lovely people are," she wrote on her Twitter feed.
There is some stiff competition for the award however. Other acts in the category include Bruce Springsteen and Beyonce.
Meanwhile, Twilight itself was nominated in the Best Compilation Soundtrack category.
Beyonce is up for a total of ten awards, while other artists to feature in the short list for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards include Taylor Swift with eight nominations and Green day with three.
Paramore will be coming to the UK for a series of gigs in December starting at the SECC in Glasgow on December 10th.
