Green Day: Rock Band given release dates
A standalone version of the hit video game Rock Band dedicated to Green Day is to be released worldwide on June 8th, it has been announced.
The game's developers Harmonix and MTV Games revealed that the game will be released on the Xbox 360, Wii and PS3 consoles.
Fans of the American punk rock trio will get the chance to emulate their idols thanks to the game, which uses specially designed instruments to allow players to perform the band's hit tunes.
The game comes with 47 tracks pre-loaded including Brain Stew, Jaded, Hitchin' a Ride, American Idiot, Wake Me Up When September Ends and Boulevard of Broken Dreams, with extra tracks available for download.
It follows news this week that Lady Gaga will be making her debut on the Rock Band game with tracks Bad Romance, Just Dance, Monster and Poker Face now accessible.
Green Day come to the UK for a series of gigs this summer including one at Wembley Stadium on June 19th.
