Green Day hoping to upload older songs onto new Rock Band game
With the upcoming UK release of the new video game Green Day: Rock Band, the punk rock trio have been talking about the possibility of including older tracks on the title in the near future.
Following the success of The Beatles: Rock Band, Green Day are to be the subject of a new instalment of the popular music-based series in which fans can strum along to the band's songs.
It comes with 47 tracks available, starting with those on Green Day's 1994 breakout album Dookie.
However, in an interview with MTV.com, the group said they would like to see some of their earlier work feature in the game.
"That's what's cool about the 'Rock Band' thing, is if we want to add more songs, we can do it online, in the future," drummer Tre Cool told the news provider.
"If we want to do some surprises and stuff, we can always keep adding to it."
Green Day play Wembley Stadium on June 19th.
