Green Day musical cast to perform at Grammys

The Broadway cast of the Green Day-based musical American Idiot will perform alongside the band at the Grammys. It has been announced.
Promoters say that cast members will perform the song 21 Guns with Green Day, at the Grammy Awards ceremony, on Sunday (January 31st).
American Idiot the musical is based on Green Day's album of the same name and features all the songs from the album follows the same storyline.
It originally played at the Berkeley Repertory theatre in California last autumn but recently was confirmed as getting a Broadway run. It will open later this year at New York's St James Theater.
In November last year, a new version of 21 Guns was recorded with both the band and the American Idiot cast and released as a single.
The trio are up for three awards at this year's ceremony, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, Best Rock Song for their single 21 Guns and Best Rock Album for 21st Century Breakdown.
Green Day will play Wembley Stadium on June 19th 2010.
