Guitarist comments on new album ahead of Queens of the Stone Age tour
Ahead of the upcoming Queens of the Stone Age tour, guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen has spoken about the band's progress on their new album.
Queens of the Stone Age are set to play a number of UK gigs this year during which they will perform tracks from their eponymous debut album.
The band are also currently working on new material, but Van Leeuwen revealed that QOTSA fans should not expect a fully completed record too soon.
"We're at the early parts of the record, there's still some writing going on. We're a band that doesn't push things, things naturally happen, and they are," he told Faster Louder.
"We're kinda sprinkling this year with some touring for the re-release of the debut and then doing some recording. It's going to be a creative time, and that's good, but we're still early on."
Queens of the Stone Age tickets for their new tour go on sale this morning (February 25th) at 9am.
