Happy Mondays may add festival dates to tour
Although the Happy Mondays tour will not be extended beyond the ten dates already announced, the band may consider playing some festivals.
This is according to frontman Shaun Ryder, who said the group "might" perform at such events in an interview on Real Radio last night (February 6th).
He also confirmed the 90s outfit, who recently announced they were getting back together for a tour, will not be joining the Stone Roses for their Heaton Park gigs in Manchester later this year.
There had been rumours the two bands could take the same stage as part of a Madchester reunion.
"I'll put this straight," Ryder stated. "There's no plans, it's absolutely garbage that we are going to playing at Heaton Park with Stone Roses, that's rubbish."
Happy Mondays tickets for the forthcoming tour were released on Friday (February 3rd) and some gigs sold out within hours, according to a tweet by the group's official account on Twitter.
The band will be performing with Inspiral Carpets in Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield, Bournemouth, London, Birmingham, Leeds and Nottingham in May.
