Ian Bell wants to stay in number four position

Ian Bell is currently batting fourth.

England cricketer Ian Bell is currently batting in position number four instead of Kevin Pietersen - a place he would like to keep.

One day International (ODI) ticket holders will be able to see Bell in the spot for the rest of the competition against India, as Pietersen has been omitted from the English squad.

The Warwickshire batsman said: "With Kev rested, I need to show Andy Flower that, if it comes to a decision, I can put my name up there.

"I'd like to bat anywhere in the top four because it gives me the chance to build an innings and go through the gears later on."

Cricket fans may want to get their hands on ODI tickets as they could be seeing a future World Cup winning team in action.

Former England cricket captain Michael Vaughn, who is commenting on the tournament on both TV and radio, stated that the English cricket team can win the World Cup in 2015.
