Jarvis Cocker features on dance version of Leonard Cohen song
As well as seeing Jarvis Cocker and Pulp at the Reading festival this year, fans of the singer can hear his collaboration with Erol Alkan and Boys Noize on a dance version of a Leonard Cohen track.
The artists came together to record an updated cover of the song Avalanche, entitled Avalanche (Terminal Velocity).
Cocker gives a spoken-word performance, intoning lyrics originally recorded by Cohen in 1971.
The lyrics are the only aspect that remain from the original song.
Due for release as Erol Alkan and Boys Noize's next single on September 12th, the revamp of Cohen's recording has reportedly received the thumbs-up from the acclaimed singer-songwriter.
Pulp reformed last year and have since played a number of festivals across the UK.
Fans with Reading festival tickets will be able to see the Sheffield band on the main stage on the Saturday evening this year, before the Strokes play the headline slot.
