Jarvis Cocker up for Strictly
Former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker has said that he would like to be a contestant on the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The 46-year-old admitted to being a fan of the show, describing it as "moving".
He said: "I would definitely consider it. I've always found it really moving, especially going to the ballroom below Blackpool Tower - watching all these old couples dancing while a guy played the organ."
According to the Mirror, the singer, famous for hits such as Common People and Disco 2000, has already had a few dance lessons.
One person who certainly will not be appearing on the next Strictly series is former judge Arlene Phillips.
Phillips lost her place before the 2009 run of the show as bosses decided to replace her with the younger Alesha Dixon, sparking allegations of ageism.
Addressing rumours of a possible return, Phillips, 66, told Hello magazine: "It's something that'll never happen. I don't even think about it."
However, she did confirm she would be taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing live tour which gets underway at Manchester's MEN Arena on January 15th.
