Jenkins looks for tough defence for France Six Nations game
Wales will need to make big improvements to their defence if they are to beat France in their upcoming Six Nations clash, Neil Jenkins has said.
The side's kicking and skills coach claims that their form at the back has not been as good so far this tournament as in recent times.
"We haven't played as well as we would have liked in the last few games," said Jenkins.
Wales lost to England in the opening game of the championship and, although they beat Scotland last time out, they had to come back from a 21-9 deficit.
Now Jenkins is looking for the team to prove their metal against a good French side, but knows it will be tough.
"Our defence will have to be at its very best if we are going to win on Friday night. We want to pick the intensity up, and we've got to do it against France or we will come unstuck," he said.
Wales take on France at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff tonight, February 26th.
