Jenson Button hits out at Schumacher's aggressive tactics
Spanish ticket holders to last weekend's Formula One Grand Prix in Barcelona may have been pleased to see countryman Fernando Alonso come home second, but one who is certainly not happy with the race is Jenson Button.
The McLaren driver has hit out at what he sees as overly-aggressive tactics from Formula One veteran Michael Schumacher, who managed to fight off repeated overtaking attempts from the Brit.
Schumacher edged ahead of Button after the younger driver stopped at the pits to have a clutch problem fixed.
"I didn't really know where Michael was on the outside of me," he said.
"He turned in and if I didn't back out of it, we would have crashed. You would think that with his experience, he would know. It wasn't really the right move."
Button could only manage a fifth-placed finish in Spain, cutting his lead over Fernando Alonso at the top of the drivers' championship to just three points.
The next stop on the 2010 Formula One calendar is the Monaco Grand Prix, which takes place on May 16th.
