Jenson Button hoping for 'special' British Grand Prix

Hamilton and Button lead the Formula One drivers' championship

Formula One driver Jenson Button is hoping he and teammate Lewis Hamilton can impress ticket holders at next month's British Grand Prix.

The current world champion sits second in the drivers' championship behind Hamilton following two successive one-twos for the pair.

And Button his hoping the two Brits can continue to dominate until their home coming race rolls around.

"There are just six points between the top three drivers, but if we [Button and Hamilton] can go into the British Grand Prix leading it would be a very special race," he told the Press Association.

Before then, Button will be focussing his attention on this weekend's European Grand Prix in Valencia.

"Valencia should again suit our car, so I'm looking forward to the challenge and the circuit, which I love, even though I had a bad race there last year," he said.

The European Grand Prix in Valencia gets underway on Sunday, June 27th.
