Justin Bieber film 'made Anthony Kiedis cry'

Brits buying Red Hot Chilli Peppers tickets may know that frontman Anthony Kiedis has lived an interesting and, at times, dangerous life.

The 48-year-old Michigan-born singer developed heroin and cocaine addictions early in his career and has battled back from the brink to become one of the world's most respected rock stars.

However, he showed his softer side recently when he admitted to Q magazine that he had shed a tear or two over Justin Bieber's Never Say Never movie.

The Californication rocker explained that a scene where 17-year-old Justin is handing out free concert tickets to young girls tugged at his heartstrings.

"They were doing this very cheesy giveaway of concert tickets to 16-year-old girls," he explained.

"The cheesiness didn't matter - it was the reaction of the kids. When you saw those little girls crying deliriously, I lost it."

Kiedis added that producer Rick Rubin was sitting across the aisle from him when he watched the movie on a flight from Hawaii to Los Angeles and also admitted being touched by the moment.

The singer and his band will be heading to the UK later this year to entertain their fans at venues including the O2 arena and Glasgow's SECC.
