Kasabian offer taste of new album
Kasabian fans looking forward to seeing the band at the Isle of Wight Festival this weekend have been offered a taste of the group's new album.
The Leicester five-piece have placed the track Switchblade Smiles on their website for visitors to listen to and announced that the forthcoming record will be called Velociraptor!.
Due for release on September 19th, the new album will be the band's fourth, following their self-titled debut in 2004 and subsequent hits Empire and West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum.
Speaking about the first single from Velociraptor!, guitarist Sergio Pizzorno revealed that the title came from an interview with Morgan Freeman, who said he was once told that he had a 'switchblade smile'.
The song will be available as an instant download for anyone who pre-orders the new record from the Kasabian store.
Music fans with Isle of Wight Festival tickets will be able to see the band this weekend alongside fellow headliners Kings of Leon and Foo Fighters.
