Kasabian told to turn it down by NYPD
Despite packing all the comforts of home with them while touring, indie rockers Kasabian still know how to act like true rockstars.
During a gig on the roof of a skyscraper in New York on Monday the group were ordered to turn down by the NYPD or face a night in the cells.
The band performed at Manhattan's Skylight Studios as part of the 40th birthday celebrations of British luxury brand Mulberry and heralded their first performance in the US for five years.
Those that already have Kasabian tickets for the upcoming Mixtape Tour need not worry, however, as the band agreed to turn down their set at the request of the local law enforcement.
According to The Sun's reporter, the police were quite taken with band's music though and were heard whistling the tunes as they left.
Speaking to the tabloid, Serge Pizzorno said: "The police came up twice to tell us to turn it down. The second time they didn't look so happy. I think the owner turned it up." Tom Meighan said: "NYPD at a Kasabian gig? It was a first for us."
Hurts and Hot Chip will join the lads from Leicester on their UK tour which kicks off in November.
