Kings of Leon hoping new album can take them to the 'next level'
The Kings of Leon are hoping new album Come Around Sundown will help them to build on the phenomenal success they have experienced of late.
Although the band have enjoyed reasonable success for several years, mostly in the UK, their 2008 album Only by the Night propelled them to stardom on both sides of the Atlantic.
The record sold 6.5 million copies worldwide and earned them four Grammys.
However, it has left Come Around Sundown with a tough act to follow.
"We're all very driven and competitive," drummer Nathan Followill told USA Today.
"If you had told me five years ago we'd be on the cover of Rolling Stone and sell 75,000 tickets in Hyde Park, that's ridiculous. We're very aware of how tough it is to get to that level. The next level is (playing) stadiums, so maybe (Sundown) will take us there."
The new album will be released in the UK on October 18th.
Kings of Leon also tour the UK later this year, starting at the MEN Arena in Manchester on December 13th
