Kings of Leon promise new material on tour
Kings of Leon have promised ticket holders to their new tour that they will get to hear some new material from the band.
The US rockers have been working on a follow up to their hugely successful 2008 record Only By The Night prior to hitting the road on June 5th.
In an interview with pressofatlanticcity.com, the band's lead singer Caleb Followill said the new tracks would feature prominently on the set list, even if this may disappoint some fans hoping to hear older material.
"When we write a song, we like to play it. Now that we've had the success of the last album, people want the mystery of what's coming next. I hate to burst their bubble, but we'll be playing a lot of the new stuff on the road," he said.
He added that the new album had a "very tropical and very beachy" sound at times, but that there is always a "dark chord" that "makes it Kings of Leon".
Kings of Leon play Hyde Park on June 30th, as well as the V Festival in August.
