Kings of Leon say new album will be 'fun'
Rock band Kings of Leon have said there new album, which they say is almost finished, will be similar to their debut record Youth and Young Manhood.
In an interview with Billboard.com, drummer Nathan Followill clamed that their fifth album is a lot more "fun" than the band had anticipated.
"It's the first time we've ever recorded in New York City, [so] we thought we'd come out with a little darker record," he said.
"And I'll be damned if we didn't go in there and make a fun record. It's got songs that are beachy. It's got songs that are a little more of our Youth and Young Manhood days."
Followill added that the band had not to succumbed to the pressure many expected them to suffer from after the success of their last album, the Grammy Award-winning Only By the Night.
Kings of Leon play a gig in Hyde Park in London on June 30th.
