Kiss star says simplicity is key to good song writing
Paul Stanley, singer, rhythm guitarist and co-songwriter for the band Kiss, has revealed his secrets for composing a hit tune.
In an interview with the Metro, the 58-year-old said that it was best to keep things simple when writing a song.
"I'm a great believer in not over-thinking lyrics," he said.
"You might become technically better as a songwriter but you lose what originally made your songs great.
"Tracks like C'mon and Love Me were written in 20 minutes - would they be better if they took two months?"
Speaking after the start of the band's Sonic Boom Over Europe tour, Stanley also told the news provider that fans with tickets to the shows could expect some "amazing video screens" as well as some "new tricks" as part of Kiss's set.
Tonight (May 5th) will see Kiss play the LG Arena in Birmingham before heading to Glasgow on for a gig at the SECC on Sunday.
