Kiss to launch kids TV show
Rock band Kiss have signed up to create a new TV show for children, it has been announced.
The group will work in conjunction with independent studio E1 Entertainment to produce an as yet untitled half-hour comedic programme to be distributed worldwide.
According to a statement from the band, the show "galvanizes the band's iconic personas for its young fans".
Kiss co-founder Gene Simmons said: "Kiss continues to be the juggernaut of licensing and merchandising.
"Kiss is a band, but also the only music brand. Continuing in our 35-year history of going where no band has gone before, we are proud to partner with E1. Like all things Kiss, we intend to make this a very special show for our fans."
Simmons also made an appearance on UK radio station X FM this week, where he claimed fellow rockers U2 and the Rolling Stones could not match Kiss on stage.
Kiss come to the UK later this year as part of their European tour, starting at the Sheffield Arena on May 1st.
