Kobayashi signs new deal with Sauber
Japanese F1 driver Kamui Kobayashi has signed a new deal with Suaber which will see him race for the team again in the 2011 season.
The 23-year-old has impressed in his debut season in the sport, scoring 21 points for the team so far.
His best result came at the British Grand Prix where he finished sixth.
"We enjoy having our rookie as part of the team, both as a driver and a person," said team principal Peter Sauber.
"We never had any doubts about working with him again in 2011. Kamui has definitely fulfilled our expectations in terms of his speed and fighting spirit. Plus his work with the engineers and his technical understanding has also developed very well."
The next race in the current Formula One season is the Italian Grand Prix at Monza which takes place on Sunday, September 12th, coincidentally the day before Kobayashi's 24th birthday.
