Kubica looking forward to Formula One's return to Montreal
Renault driver Robert Kubica has revealed he is looking forward to this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix, which will see Formula One make its return to Montreal.
The Pole took the chequered flag at the last grand prix to be held at the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit in 2008.
But following criticisms of the track after parts of it broke up in practice, the race was scrapped for last year.
However, the circuit's unpredictability is one of the reasons Kubica is glad to see Montreal back on the Formula One calendar for 2010.
"It's kind of a mix between a high and low-speed track because there are big braking zones and some long straights where top speed is important," he said.
"Also, because it's not a permanent track, the grip level changes quite quickly during the weekend and you can push more with each lap, which always feels nice."
Kubica added he was hopeful of putting in a good performance and is aiming for a points finish.
Qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix gets underway on Saturday, June 12th, before the race on Sunday.
