Latitude Festival sells out
Tickets for the hugely popular Latitude Festival have sold out despite forecasts of potential downpours.
Around 35,000 people are expected to descend on the sixth edition of the event, which kicks off on Thursday July 14th at Henham Park near Southwold.
An impressive range of performers are expected to take to the stage during the four-day event, including Suede, Paolo Nutini, The National, Ralph Fiennes and Steve Coogan.
There will also be a vast array of festivities on offer, including theatre, art, dance, fashion, cabaret and literature.
Festival director Melvin Benn told BBC News: "The music is fantastic but when you couple that with things like Sadler's Wells and the National Theatre of Scotland, you're looking at real quality."
He added that the anticipated rain is unlikely to deter revellers from attending the event, as "Brits are hardy people".
Earlier this week, festival organisers announced that former poet laureate Andrew Motion will make his playwriting debut at Latitude with the HighTide theatre company production of Incoming - a play about the war in Afghanistan.
