Lee Evans book 'a bestseller'
Those with Lee Evans tickets may not be surprised to hear the comedian's autobiography is a bestseller.
Released on September 29th - known as Super Thursday because it is when a lot of publications hit the shelves as they compete for Christmas shoppers - The Life of Lee sold as many as 16,000 copies in its first week.
This is according to Chortle, which said the book topped the Sunday Times bestseller list, beating Peter Kay's Book That's More Than Just A Book-Book.
Indeed, the star of Phoenix Nights moved only 5,700 copies in the same week as Lee's publication.
Chortle noted five comedians' books were among the six bestsellers in the charts, including the James Corden biography May I Have Your Attention, Please.
The Daily Telegraph predicted on Super Thursday that The Life of Lee would be one of the biggest successes among publications this Christmas, which could be an added bonus for the performer after he finishes the Lee Evans tour Roadrunner in November.
