Lee Evans tour attracting comedy fans
More people may consider buying Lee Evans tickets, as comedy fans have been praising his latest live show Roadrunner.
The comedian is taking the stage around the UK up until November 22nd, with gigs in Cardiff, Manchester, Liverpool, Dublin, Newcastle and Aberdeen.
One of those with good words to say about the funnyman's set is columnist Amanda Platell, who wrote in the Daily Mail about a recent trip to see him perform at the O2 Arena.
"For two-and-a-half hours we laughed until our faces hurt," she revealed, explaining she was taken to the gig by her two nieces.
The commentator also noted that the 18,000-person strong crowd gave the comedian a big cheer when he said he had been happily married for 28 years.
She said Evans "shone a light into ordinary lives, making the mundane seem magical", adding that "there are some riches the recession cannot take from us".
This is not the first good review the Lee Evans tour has received, with a report in The Stage saying the comedian's observational material is original and very different from that of John Bishop and Michael McIntyre.
