Lewis Hamilton: McLaren are better than ever
McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton has praised his team in the run up to this weekend's British Grand Prix.
The former world champion believes they are now well-placed to claim this year's title.
Speaking to the Press Association, the 25-year-old said the team had learned from past mistakes to become stronger than ever.
"Over the last few years we've learned from a number of difficulties, and through those you grow and become stronger," he told the news provider.
In addition, the arrival of reigning world champion Jenson Button has helped boost the team, Hamilton claims.
"The team has the two drivers they wanted and we're both doing a job," he commented.
"It's still a work in progress, but it's better than it ever has been, and Jenson has contributed heavily to that."
Hamilton is currently at the top of the drivers' standings, six points ahead of Button.
The British Grand Prix at Silverstone gets underway this Sunday, July 11th.
