Lewis Hamilton looking to conquer another historic circuit
A win at the upcoming Italian Grand Prix at Monza will give Lewis Hamilton a Formula One victory on each of the sport's most famous circuits, the driver has claimed.
Hamilton has so far scored victories at Monaco and Silverstone and last Sunday added Belgium's Spa track to the list.
He now feels he needs a win at Monza to complete a set of wins at the most historic circuits in F1.
"I remember David Coulthard saying he was proud to win those four Grands Prix for McLaren, because they somehow connected him to the history of the sport, and I know exactly what he means," he said.
"It's because those venues are unique - they're very special; you can feel the history at those races more than anywhere else."
McLaren driver Hamilton currently leads the F1 drivers' championship following his victory at Spa.
The Italian Grand Prix takes place on September 12th.
