Liam confident of Beady Eye success
Ahead of the upcoming Beady Eye tour, frontman Liam Gallagher is confident the band can be just as successful as Oasis.
Beady Eye were formed after Liam's brother Noel finally decided to leave Oasis after years of internal spats.
Asked in an interview with The Quietus if Beady Eye could achieve the same hights as Oasis, Liam responded: "We're thinking about it and thinking that we can be great. I like to think that we could start where we left off but it’s still early days."
However, he is also determined not to use the success of Oasis to promote the new band and is happy not be playing any of the former group's songs.
"We don't need those f***ing tunes, you know what I mean?" he said. "But Beady Eye’s [success or failure] won't be through a lack of trying.
"Without a doubt, because we're playing great, the songs are great and some of the songs here stand up to anything that Oasis have ever done."
Beady eye begin a UK tour at Barrowlands in Glasgow on March 3rd.
