Lloyd Webber's Phantom sequel expected to amaze audiences
People with tickets to Andrew Lloyd Webber's new musical Love Never Dies can expect to marvel at his latest masterpiece.
In an interview with the Independent, Webber told of working on the long-awaited sequel to the Phantom of the Opera, which has moved from the Paris Opera House to the fairgrounds of Coney Island, New York.
Webber told the news provider that he was "genuinely excited" to see what people make of the sequel, which sees Ramin Karimloo cast as the phantom, and Sierra Boggess as leading lady Christine Daae.
"In so many ways it goes much further than the old Phantom did," he said.
"Without giving anything away about the ending, it's like I closed a door when I put the last notes down. I don't think I'll be able to go any further down this particular musical path well, not for a while anyway."
Love Never Dies opens at the Adelphi Theatre in London on March 9th.
