Mark Rylance returns in Twelfth Night at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre
Award-winning actor Mark Rylance is to return to his role of Olivia in a production of Twelfth Night at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre this summer.
The thespian was once artistic director at the venue between 1995 and 2005 and has not been on stage at the establishment since.
"No-one has contributed more to the success of the Globe than Mark," current artistic director Dominic Dromgoole said.
"It is our further great luck that he is returning ... to play in the Globe again. It will be a fitting climax to an extraordinary summer," he added.
Rylance first took on the character of Olivia as part of this production ten years ago, in what was described as a "widely celebrated performance".
Twelfth Night tickets will become available on Monday (February 13th) to the general public, although Friends of the venue are already able to make reservations.
Performances of the play begin on September 22nd.
