Massa extends Ferrari contract
Felipe Massa has signed a two-year extension to his contract with Ferrari ahead of this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix.
It means the Brazilian, who joined Ferrari in 2006, will stay with the Italian team until the 2012 season.
"I am happy to be given the opportunity to drive for Ferrari for a further two seasons," Massa said.
"Throughout my entire Formula One career, I have always raced with an engine made in Maranello and it is a matter of pride for me to be able to continue working with a team that I regard as a second family."
Both Ferrari and Massa have struggled so far this season, with the 29-year-old currently sitting seventh in the drivers' championship on 67 points, 25 points off leader Mark Webber.
Ferrari, meanwhile, are third in the constructors' standings, behind Red Bull and McLaren.
They will be hoping for a change of fortune in the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal, which takes place this Sunday, June 13th.
