Massa says Ferrari could have best F1 season in years
Ferrari driver Felipe Massa has revealed he is confident that his team will perform well this season ahead of the Formula One opener in Bahrain this weekend.
Speaking to the official Ferrari website, the Brazilian declared he believes it could be the Italian outfit's best season in years.
"I am very happy and very motivated that we can start the championship in a better way not just than last year, which was not a very good year, but also than the other championships," he commented.
Massa said that he was confident the car is competitive and that testing throughout the winter had demonstrated its potential.
He also set his sights on securing early points at the Bahrain F1 Grand Prix, recognising the importance of a strong opening race.
"Even if maybe we don't know if it will be possible to win, it will be important to start the championship in the right direction," he said.
Qualifying for the Bahrain F1 Grand Prix gets underway this Saturday (March 13th) with the race the following day.
