Matt Smith passed fit for Premiership final
Leicester back Matt Smith will be fit enough to play in front of those with Aviva Premiership final tickets this weekend, it has been announced.
The 25-year-old suffered a calf injury in the second half of the semi-final against Northampton on May 14th and it had been feared he could miss the final against Saracens.
But a week of intensive treatment has seen the Tigers player make a full recovery.
"I'm 100 per cent. I had a very light week last week without any training, but this week I've trained fully. I had a bit of a lump in my calf, but I've had a scan and I'm fine," he told the Leicester Mercury.
"I had constant massage and big needles stuck in it. I'm not very good with needles. You don't really know what they're doing, you just lie there and leave it to them."
The Aviva Premiership final takes place at Twickenham on Saturday (May 28th).
