McLaren-Mercedes to introduce upgrades in Spain

Anyone able to secure tickets to the Spanish Grand Prix next weekend will be able to see what new tricks McLaren-Mercedes has up its sleeve.

The team is currently top of the constructor table, while Jensen Button and Lewis Hamilton sit in first and joint-third positions in the driver standings.

But despite its strong start to the season, McLaren-Mercedes will be unveiling new upgrades to its car in Spain.

Looking to the upcoming race at the Circuit de Catalunya, Hamilton said: "We've got a couple of fairly significant upgrades coming for this race."

His team-mate and current world champion Button will be hoping he can perform well in Spain, having won the event last year.

"I regard it as one of my best victories of the 2009 season," the world number one said.

"It's a relatively high-speed circuit, and one that's quite enjoyable to drive - provided your car is working properly."

Held in Barcelona, the Spanish GP is set to take place on May 9th.
