Miley Cyrus celebrates birthday with 80s theme
Singer and actress Miley Cyrus turned 17 this week and celebrated with a spectacular 80s themed party.
The Hannah Montana star was thrown a surprise party at the Canal Room night club in New York last week ahead of her actual birthday on Monday (November 23).
In attendance were the singers' parents Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus. Her Last Song co-star and rumoured boyfriend Liam Hemsworth was also at the party.
Miley's mother, who organised the party, told People Magazine: "She loves the 80s. The fashion, the big hair - She thinks it's so funky."
Cyrus was treated to a performance by the cast of Broadway musical Rock of Ages and a giant cake designed my celebrity caterer Buddy Valastro.
"They didn't want a girly girl cake. It totally fit the theme. It was really awesome," Valastro said.
Miley Cyrus will come to the UK next month as part of her Wonder World Tour starting off on December 13th at London's O2 Arena.
