NFL UK fans 'love Tom Brady'
American football star Tom Brady was a favourite among people with NFL UK tickets to last year's International Series game at Wembley, a survey has found.
The poll of over 2,000 attendees of October's match between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears showed the player was preferred by 20 per cent of the crowd, making him the most popular in his sport among Britons for three years running.
This is despite the fact Brady was not playing in 2011, but he is in 2012 so fans may need to book St Louis Rams v New England Patriots tickets quickly to beat the rush to see the star live.
Indeed, many categories are already sold out, leaving only passes for end-zone level five, sideline level five and the family zone available.
Some of the most popular American football players have been knocked off their perch by new names recently, the survey showed.
Peyton Manning came second and Drew Brees was third in both 2009 and 2010, but they dropped to seventh and fifth place respectively in 2011.
Replacing them were Aaron Rodgers - with 17 per cent of the vote - and Brian Urlacher, with 15 per cent.
