New Arctic Monkeys album tops charts

Arctic Monkeys' latest album has gone to number one

Judging by the band's latest album sales, Arctic Monkeys tickets will be in high demand when they go on sale this Friday (June 17th).

The Sheffield indie group's fourth album Suck It and See has gone straight to number one in the UK charts, knocking Lady Gaga's Born This Way off the top spot.

It is the band’s fourth consecutive number one album and makes them only the second band ever to take four albums in a row straight to the summit, the other being Keane.

The release of the album comes shortly after Arctic Monkeys announced a nine-date UK tour this autumn.

It will kick off at the Nottingham Capital FM Arena on October 28th and includes gigs at the O2 Arena in London (October 29th), the MEN Arena in Manchester (November 2nd) and the LG Arena in Birmingham (November 4th) before winding up with a show at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on November 9th.
