New Foo Fighters album inspired by Abba
Those with Foo Fighters tickets to the band's upcoming UK gigs could hear the band play songs influenced by Abba.
The US rockers have admitted that some of the tracks from their latest album have elements inspired by the Swedish group and other pop acts.
Speaking to the Daily Star, frontman Dave Grohl said: "I like loads of crazy-ass, dissonant, distorted rock 'n' roll. But I also love the Bee Gees and Abba, bands whose pop choruses get bigger and bigger.
"I love anthemic choruses, that overwhelming feeling of release that you can connect with."
The Foo Fighters are due to release their seventh studio album, called Wasting Light, on April 11th.
Later this year, the band play two shows at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes on June 2nd and 3rd.
Both gigs will see support from Biffy Clyro, while the first night will also see Death Cab for Cutie perform and the second will see Jimmy Eat World take to the stage.
