New Killers album confirmed for 2012 release
The Killers tour dates 2012 may soon be announced, as singer of the band Brandon Flowers has confirmed a new album will be released this year.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1, the musician said the group want to offer something new in their latest record.
"We don't want to make Hot Fuss 2 or Sam's Town 2 or Day & Age 2," he stated, referring to the outfit's previous albums.
Instead, Flowers said the band had decided to "take those things that we've done well and really hone in on that" without any intention to "throw a curveball".
Fans have had to wait a relatively long time so far for a new The Killers tour, as the group went on a break after their last schedule of live shows across the globe in 2010.
However, they have played the odd gig at events like Lollapalooza and Hyde Park.
Flowers also released a solo album two years ago called Flamingo and he is not the only member of the band to have side projects.
Bassist Mark Stoermer's record Another Life Now is set to hit the shelves on January 24th.
