New book to follow Peter Kay tour
The upcoming Peter Kay tour of the UK is to be followed by a new book by the comedian.
It has been announced that Kay has signed a publishing deal to write what will be his third book.
Called The Book That's More Than Just a Book Book, it will be published in September 2011 and feature a mix of text, photographs and illustrations depicting the world inhabited by Kay's characters.
"I never thought I'd write one book, let alone three. I'm absolutely delighted and every night, thank the good lord for spell check," commented the Bolton funnyman.
"I look forward to completing the book which is probably my most ambitious project to date."
Kay has moved to publisher Hodder & Stoughton for the new project, after his two previous books - The Sound of Laughter and Saturday Night Peter - were published by Random House imprint Century.
A Peter Kay tour of the UK gets underway at the O2 Arena in London next Thursday (March 31st).
