New guitarist 'brings something new to Red Hot Chili Peppers'
Music fans with Red Hot Chili Peppers tickets could notice that the band's music has a slightly different feel following the addition of Josh Klinghoffer on guitar.
Speaking to Red Bulletin magazine, bass player Flea said Klinghoffer, who replaced John Frusciante in 2008, has added something new to the group and their forthcoming album I'm With You.
Flea described the guitarist as an "all-round talent" who also has the ability to sing and play drums.
"He's the kind of subtle player who creeps up on you rather than wowing you right away, and you sit back and see what he does grow into something gorgeous," he added.
"Josh is also a great writer and he wrote great stuff for this album. So Josh brought something very different for us."
I'm With You will come out at the end of this month and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will follow up the release with a series of UK shows in London, Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield and Birmingham in November.
