New tracks from Bruce Springsteen's saxophonist released
Fans looking forward to the Bruce Springsteen tour 2012 may miss former E Street Band member Clarence Clemons when they see the Boss play, but they can now buy new tracks by the saxophonist.
Clemons - who was nicknamed The Big Man - died in June after suffering complications following a stroke, but three previously unreleased songs by the artist are now on sale.
USA Today spoke to co-producer of the recordings, which are available as a collection called There's Still Christmas, Jim Nuzzo.
He explained he felt the tracks - originally recorded in 1981 - "deserve to be part of his legacy".
"[Clemons] had been this great character in Bruce's play and this was a chance for him to show he was also a really good singer," the producer told the news provider, adding that the saxophonist had wanted people to know he had a good voice.
Those going to a Bruce Springsteen concert may be touched to hear The Boss' comments following The Big Man's death, which were first published in Rolling Stone.
He was quoted as saying Clemons would always be considered a member of the E Street Band, asserting: "He leaves when we die".
