Noel Gallagher not joining Kasabian
Tuesday, 27 October 2009
Noel Gallagher will not be joining Kasabian any time soon.
Despite rumours to the contrary, the band confirmed yesterday that it would not happen.
Speaking yesterday, Kasabian's lead signer Tom Meighan said: "I'd like him to but he's not going to - he's just quit his band, he's putting music aside for a bit."
Meighan was speaking at the Q Awards yesterday, where the band picked up the gong for Best Album.
However, some of the other big awards ended up in the hands of pop artists, with Lily Allen taking Best Track and Lady Gaga picking up Best Video.
Kasabian have become widely acclaimed as one of the best rock bands in the UK at the moment and Noel Gallagher has in the past expressed his admiration for them.
The band is set to play Wembley Arena next month where they will likely play songs from the award winning album West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum.
