One Direction tour of the US announced
A One Direction tour of the US has been announced after the British boyband reached number one in the country.
The 24-date series of gigs will begin on May 24th at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia, before travelling across the country throughout June and ending at the Bank Atlantic Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on July 1st.
One Direction are the first UK band to debut at the top of the charts in the US, beating even The Beatles, whose first release in the country entered the rankings at number four, despite their huge popularity in the nation.
"Everyone's just overwhelmed by the reaction," one of the stars of the outfit Harry Styles told the Guardian. "We're just loving it."
The presale for passes to the shows began yesterday (March 22nd) and was open to the band's biggest fans.
But those who did not get the chance for early-bird One Direction tickets need not worry, as they will go on general sale tomorrow.
