Owen Pallet is a Depeche Mode fan
Canadian Indy star Owen Pallet has revealed he has discovered the music of Depeche Mode and is now a big fan.
In an interview with Pitchfork.com, the singer, composer and violinist admitted he knew the band only my name until recently but now listens to them frequently.
"About two years ago, I would have proclaimed that I could name Depeche Mode songs but would not be able to tell you that it was Depeche Mode on the radio," he said. "Then I sat down and actually listened to it, and I really, really got into it."
In other Depeche Mode news this week, a man in the US is attempting to sue the band's website DepecheMode.com.
According Neoseeker.com, Erik Estavillo, who has gained notoriety for a series of high-profile law suits against video game companies, has accused the website for banning him from its forums and so denying him freedom of speech.
Depeche Mode play two UK gigs this year, the first at the Royal Albert Hall on February 17th, and then at the O2 Arena on the 20th.
